Had he lived, Martin Luther King Jr. would've turned 80 years old today.
The inauguration of Barack Obama seems like a pretty good 80th birthday present. King knew it would happen. One day.
And it did.
Here's a two-minute excerpt from a speech he delivered on March 25, 1965 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Great clip. What a life. He sure packed a lot into his 39 years, and with his chosen path there was a lot that he internalized too. They said that in his autopsy they noticed that he had the heart and arteries of a very old man.
Hard to imagine him at 80. The Kennedys too.
Jeff,
He did pack a lot into 39 years. I'm humbled when I think of what he accomplished in that time, compared to my own life.
For some reason, I can imagine him more as an old man than I can the Kennedys. Maybe because I've been more curious what he would think about things that have happened since he died.
But it's a tragedy that none of them could still be around.
Appreciate your blogg post
