I'm impressed that you guys could pull that off. It's such a wonderful piece of theatre.
Didn't Jerry Lewis do something similar in one of the early Martin & Lewis films? Though nowhere in the same league as the Marx Brothers, I did like them when I was a kid.
I think the last thing that came close was Monty Python. Intellectual and surreal, though not as warm, perhaps, as the Marx Brothers. There was no Harpo in Monty Python.
Not sure anything these days can even sniff at the edges.
Ha :-) This reminds me of a youtube I was thinking of posting from Frasier ... Niles getting ready to entertain some VIPs, no dialogue but just slapstick. Maybe in a day or two.

One of the all-time classics! My friend Joe and I used to do a lot of theater, and we could actually do most of this bit.
They had such a wonderful surreal humor you don't see much anymore...

The Marx Brothers were truly wonderful.

Crystal,
Is that the one where he's ironing and winds up knocking himself out? If so, that's one of the latter-day great routines! Post it!
That's the one. Maybe I'll look for it tomorrow :-)
