I found out my grandfather, the original William Glenn, raced horses and was very involved in politics. And I'm guessing there was something of a poet in there as well, because his son, my father, wrote poetry and can still recite T.S. Eliot lines at just the right moment. And he also likes the ponies and politics.cowboyangelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13452987299073540171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27601672.post-5517074881392727862008-12-16T13:15:00.000-05:002008-12-16T13:15:00.000-05:00Hmmm, betting on poets, ponies, and politics. It ranks about 5 stars on the schadenfreude scale, not including your own lousy predictions, or course.

Is that dunderheaded Kristol really about to get fired from the Times? Sometimes I want to overcome the disgust and nausea he provokes in me and befriend him just so I can ask his predictions on sporting events, and then bet the exact opposite. I'd be rich.Liamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17265036866243982434noreply@blogger.com
